Well, after much deliberation and procrastination, I have now been dragged into the 21st century and have started a blog. The title is because I believe passionately that we have only one Planet Earth and need to value it. I was finally motivated to produce a blog because I have started the Climate Change MOOC produced by the University of Exeter and available via Future Learn. This encourages us to reflect on and report our experiences as learners on this course.
The content of my blog will report on anything loosely related to care of the Earth. As a soil scientist much will focus on the soil resource, but as I am also passionate about natural history and earth science generally you should expect an eclectic mix of postings.
Do bear with me in the coming weeks as I get used to this type of forum. I'm sure that I am likely to make some mistakes until I become more familiar with it.
